Alzheimers NZ Board welcomes new Chief Executive Dave Robinson

The Alzheimers NZ Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Robinson as the new Chief Executive of the organisation.

Dave (pictured right) has more than 20 years experience in leadership across health and non-government organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand. This includes Chief Executive roles at Wellington Free Ambulance and MASH Trust.

Co-Chairs Eileen Basher and Di Stokes welcome him to the role.

“Dave brings a wealth of experience with him from both the NGO and public sector and I’m sure his experience will provide a strong platform for Alzheimers NZ going forward,” says Eileen.

“We’ll continue working towards our shared vision of a future where people living with dementia mate wareware and their whānau are heard, valued and supported.

“I’m confident this next chapter will build on the foundations that are already in place.”

Dave’s appointment will start from 14 September.

“I know Alzheimers NZ has a longstanding history in the community and the lived experience voice is at the heart of everything we do, and that will continue to drive our work,” he says.

“I’m committed to contributing to the community around me and I look forward to building on the valued partnerships that are already in place – with Members, the wider sector and officials.”

Eileen acknowledges former Chief Executive Catherine Hall who made an outstanding contribution to the sector during her 14 year tenure.
