Register now for Repositioning Dementia: Let’s get real Post Cover Image

Repositioning Dementia: Let’s get real won’t hold back on the reality the sector is facing in Aotearoa New Zealand this September.

The event is an urgent plea to decision makers to take the future of dementia mate wareware seriously, so the 70,000 people living with dementia mate wareware and their whānau can access the support they desperately need.

It will further explore the Dementia Mate Wareware Action Plan, research and reports and the lived experience of dementia mate wareware.

And is timely as the organisation marks World Alzheimers Month.

You can register now for Repositioning Dementia: Let’s get real on Thursday 21 September at Chateau on the Park, Christchurch and online.

Alzheimers NZ Chief Executive Catherine Hall says this event will be an opportunity to get a real insight into the challenges facing the sector.

“Everything we do as a sector is for the people and their whānau living with dementia mate wareware, and the future is not looking bright.

“We want to bring the reality of our work to the forefront of people’s minds, through our political panel, by hearing from our Advisory Group of people living with dementia mate wareware and their whānau and the cold, hard facts in the World Alzheimer Report 2023,” she says.

“We’ll also learn about our next priorities as a sector from the Dementia Mate Wareware Leadership and Advisory Group and more about the upcoming pilots, so we can continue to band together for our kaupapa – you won’t want to miss it.”

This is the second event in the new series by Alzheimers NZ.
