Save the date for Alzheimers NZ summit Post Cover Image

Save the date for the newest Alzheimers NZ summit which promises to be the best yet!

Solving the Dementia Challenge with People, Partnership and Innovation will explore the latest news, updates and insights over two jam-packed days.

The summit will be 25 and 26 September 2025 in Auckland and online with registrations to open in June – we hope you can make it!

“We’re delighted with the success and feedback we had from our Repositioning Dementia series during 2023 and 2024, and the fast pace of the series was perfectly timed for the changes happening in the dementia ecosystem and wider health sector at the time,” says Chief Executive Catherine Hall.

“But this year we want to shake things up so our next event in September – which as you’ll know is World Alzheimers Month – promises to be even more interactive and innovative! The name perfectly captures the various pieces of the puzzle we’ll bring together.

“People, partnership and innovation are at the heart of the dementia mate wareware sector.”

The summit will have three sessions spanning over two days starting from lunchtime on Thursday, with networking events on both days. Attendees have the option to join as many or all of the sessions depending on their interest:

  • People and whānau centred services – Explore moving from good to great by transforming person-centred care to person/whānau-led
  • Integrated primary and community dementia care – What integrated care means, why it matters and how to make it work
  • Workforce – Learn more about leadership when working with people who have changed behaviours in this workshop session (certificates can be provided for CPD hours)

“Our events are always a staple in the sector calendar and this year will be no different – but we know we can’t rest on our laurels. We have some exciting announcements lined up and some incredible sessions in the works,” says Catherine.

Keep an eye out for more details and your chance to register next month.
