World Alzheimers Month September 2024
This year we have a number of events happening for World Alzheimers Month – SEPTEMBER
Monday 9th – public talk on ‘Reducing the Risk’ – 10-11.30am at 14 Manakohi St, New Plymouth
Monday 16th-Friday 20th – Library displays and drop in sessions (some) at Puke Ariki, Hawera & Opunake libraries for World Alzheimers Week
Friday 20th – An evening with Richard Faull – come listen to Richard talk about his lifetime of work in the dementia/neurological research field 6-7.30pm at 14 Manakohi St (refreshments provided – bookings required).
Sunday 22nd – Memory Walk from 10am at East End Reserve, walking along the Coastal Walkway to Tasman Prospect. Wear purple!
Monday 23rd September – public talk on ‘Reducing the Risk’ – 1.30-3pm at 28 Campbell St, Hawera
Tuesday 24th – Alzheimers NZ Repositioning Dementia conference day – register online at alzheimers.org.nz (free for people living with dementia and caregivers).
