In partnership with the local Search and Rescue Team, Alzheimers Nelson Tasman manages the Safer Walking (WandaTrak) system. The pendant is a radio frequency transmitter that the client wears, these pendants are a valuable part of our service; they offer peace of mind to the care partner knowing that if their family member wanders they will be located much faster.

Once a month we hold a cafe called Alz Cafe, which is held at the Mitre 10 MEGA Cafe in Nelson, The Zink Cafe in Richmond and at TOAD Hall in Motueka.  This is an opportunity for people living with dementia and their carers/friend and family to gather and indulge in morning tea if they so wish.
