Elizabeth is living with Mild Cognitive Impairment. She has started a little notebook headed ‘Wishes’, a list of true necessities to help her hold on to her vital self.
As a Champion for Dementia, author Kate De Goldi is looking to honour the experience she had with her family and help raise public awareness of dementia.
Rita says sharing her story made her realise just how important kindness is for people living with dementia. So she's inviting us all to become Dementia Friends.
Helen first noticed problems with her memory when she was 81. With her friend Maxine at her side, Helen has the confidence to continue to shine.
After the loss of her grandad, Lauren found running really helped her with her healing journey. Her grandad lives on with every stride she takes, running every step of the way with her.
Having been a care partner for both her parents, Bronwyn knows how important connections and friendships are, and how the smallest of acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Colin feels his family's experience with dementia would have been different if it was talked about more freely. As a Champion for Dementia, he wants to encourage us all to speak up, and give others the chance to help.
