Privacy Policy
Alzheimers New Zealand is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 2020.
We use the information you provide when you become a Dementia Friend to communicate with you by post (e.g. sending your badge or wristband) or email, and to report aggregated (grouped) data.
No information is reported that would identify an individual except with that person’s permission.
We collect two types of information:
Dementia Friends web traffic information
We collect statistical data such as the number of visits to our programme, the pages that are visited most, how long a user stays on the site, and where the traffic comes from.
Dementia Friends personal information
We only collect email addresses and other personal contact information when it is provided by you when you become a Dementia Friend. We use this to communicate with you. We collect ethnicity, age and gender information where you provide this.
For both personal and web traffic information, the information is aggregated (grouped) for reporting and does not identify individual users.
Dementia Friends security of information
We hold your information in a secure database which is accessed and managed only by those with authority to do so. For more information click here.
